FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHERE DO I REGISTER?
Registration opens April 1st here.
DO YOU PRORATE THE WEEK IF WE LEAVE EARLY OR MISS A DAY?
We do not prorate the week for those who do not attend every day of High Five or leave early.
HOW DO I MAKE A FRIEND REQUEST?
You choose two electives with your child; select one for the morning (am) and one for the afternoon (pm). If they have a friend request, you must register your child for the same elective at the same session time (am or pm) as their friend.
PICK UP / DROP OFF
CAN I PICK UP MY CHILD EARLY?
We apologize, but we do not allow early release or pick up. This is to ensure the safety of all campers. High Five is all day. Please schedule other camps, lessons and appointments outside of camp hours.
HOW DO I DROP OFF MY GRADE SCHOOL CHILD?
Check in your camper at the registration table, walk them to the queue line, and we will take it from there!
HOW DO I PICK UP MY GRADE SCHOOL CHILD?
We are very vigilant to make sure every child leaves with the right adult! When you arrive for pick-up, a member of the High Five team will check your driver’s license and verify that you are on the approved pick up list for that child (list created during online registration). After verification, your child will be brought out to leave with you.
HOW DO I GET MY KIDS’ T-SHIRTS?
T-shirts will be passed out the morning of the first day of camp!
WHAT IF MY CHILD LOSES SOMETHING OR NEEDS TO CHANGE THEIR CLOTHES?
This is a normal occurrence at High Five. We have a lost and found table in the Lobby. Please label all items to help us better keep track of each camper’s belongings. We also strongly suggest you send your child in with nothing of value. They get dirty, and their clothes and shoes may never be the same.
WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?
Your child should wear their High Five t-shirt, shorts, and comfortable shoes. Everything gets dirty, stained and worn out this week. Please do not send your child in anything you love. This is camp and they play hard. Monday your child will get their camp shirt and can wear it for the remainder of the week.
HOW DOES LUNCH WORK?
Grade school full day campers should plan to bring their own packed lunches. Campers will keep their lunches with them in their backpack. After morning electives, they will eat together in the worship area while watching a G rated movie. Access to water and bathroom facilities will be available.
HOW DO YOU CARE FOR MY CHILD WITH ALLERGIES?
Note your child’s allergies when registering. All allergies are reviewed by our camp nurse. Every elective director is notified of your child’s allergies. Campers with allergies will also have an additional wristband. Lunches of campers with allergies can be given to the High Five nurse at drop off, if necessary.
I NEED TO CONTACT STAFF DURING THE WEEK.
There will be a staffed administrator during High Five hours who can be reached at (513) 295-2223. You may also leave a message, as we will be checking for messages hourly.
WHAT PROCEDURES DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE TO ENSURE MY CHILD IS SAFE AT HIGH FIVE?
All adult volunteers have a current background check and complete mandatory training to ensure they comply with safety protocols. Adults are never permitted to be alone with a child. We work very hard to ensure your child will be safe and that you feel comfortable entrusting them to us for the week.
