OUR MISSION
WE EXIST TO HELP PEOPLE BELIEVE IN, BELONG TO, & BECOME LIKE JESUS.
It starts with having a personal relationship with Jesus. Through belief in Jesus, we belong to God’s eternal family and the Highpoint family. To become like Jesus is a lifelong process of growing in Christlike character and conduct.
When I believe in Jesus, I believe with my head, my heart and my will.
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12
When I belong to Jesus, I engage in community.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:24-25
When I become like Jesus, I am motivated to serve others.
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” – Mark 10:45
OUR VALUES
We have identified five values for personal and spiritual growth. The values are more than statements, they influence our personal and ministry priorities.
As Christians we grow in our worship of Jesus Who will gloriously return one day.
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.” – Romans 12:1
Mature disciples are eager to multiply disciples as we learn and apply the truths that Jesus Christ teaches, which results in an ever deepening lifestyle and commitment to Him.
“And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” – 2 Timothy 2:2
As Christians we are saved to serve those around us by using the gifts given to us by God.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever.” – 1 Peter 4:10-11
As Christians we are blessed to invest in building God’s church for His glory and our good.
“The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6
Jesus found us and now we are dedicated to building His Kingdom by finding others.
“And he said to them, ‘Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.'” – Matthew 4:19
