5 Faith Habits for Raising The Next Generation For Christ:

1: Teach God’s Truth Daily! (Deuteronomy 11:18-19)

18 “You shall therefore lay up these words of mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 19 You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

2: Equip Their Lives with God’s Purpose! (Psalm 127:3-5)

3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.  4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. 5 Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

3: Lead by Godly Example! (1 Corinthians 11:1)

1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

4: Shape Their Hearts with Grace and Truth! (Ephesians 6:4)

4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

5: Trust Fully in God’s Promises! (Proverbs 3:5-6; Isaiah 43:1, 54:13; Jeremiah 29:11)

(Proverbs 3:5-6) 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

(Isaiah 43:1) But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

(Isaiah 54:13) All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

(Jeremiah 29:11) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
